Big Fish, Will Bloom's Hero Shirt

This item was used in the production of the movie "Big Fish" in 2003. Will Bloom was played by Billy Crudup in the movie. This item is a "Gitman Bros." long-sleeved shirt that is white with green, blue, and brown boxed squares for the pattern. This shirt is an adult medium for men and is in good condition, except for some wrinkles from post production storage and a small stain on the front, right side from make-up. This shirt comes with an official COA from Columbia Pictures and was purchased on July 18, 2006 from Rainmakers. "Big Fish is an adventure as big as life itself!"

Billy Crudup wore this shirt two important times during the span of the entire movie. The first scene is at the very beginning of the movie when Will Bloom visits his father's bedside for the last time because he finds out that his father, Edward Bloom (Albert Finney), is dying from cancer. This was the first time that Will had spoken to his father in years because he always believed that his father was a liar who never cared for his own family. So in order to please his father and try to save their relationship Will listens to his father's tall tales about his life one last time. The second scene is at the very end of the movie when Will visits Jenny (Helena Bonham Carter) at her home because he wants to learn more about his father's life, so he can piece together what he knows. While Will is gone his father is put into the hospital and only has a very short amount of time left to live. Will sleeps by his father's beside and in an emotional good-bye embraces his father's tall tales and finally accepts that his father loved him all along. At Edward Bloom's funeral he learns that his father's stories were not tall after all, but maybe that was just his father's own way at viewing life. Will keeps his father's memories and stories alive through his own son as he grows up. This shirt can be seen for a large portion of the movie that ranges from 10 to 15 minutes in duration.
