Ernest Scared Stupid, Trantor the Troll Concept Drawing

This 10” x 12” original concept drawing by special effects artist Steve Johnson shows an early design of Trantor the Troll from the 1991 horror-comedy Ernest Scared Stupid. At this stage of his development, “Boogerlips” had three eyes and rocked a mean Fu Manchu mustache.
Johnson is best known for creating Slimer while working at Boss Films. He also designed creatures for Fright Night (1985), Poltergeist II (1986), Big Trouble in Little China (1986), The Abyss (1989), and Suburban Commando (1991).
