Honey West, HONEY WEST: SARCOPHOGUS/ MUMMY CASE original PROP Anne Francis

original movie prop

I personally obtained this prop Mummy Case from the now-defunct Ellis Props and Graphics (Hollywood's oldest and largest prop house) several years ago. Obviously used in countless TV/movie productions, and based on its construction dating from the 1940s-ish era, give or take. Unfortunately, I had no idea what production it was originally made for, nor what productions it was used in later, as it was a rental for about 50 years! I just thought it was cool! After countless hours of research, I always came to the same dead end. And then one day I bought the recently released HONEY WEST boxed DVD set, and low and behold, there it was. Episode 28: "JUST THE BEAR FACTS,MA'AM" opened up with Honey (beautiful ANNE FRANCIS) playing an actress in a horror film, chased by a Hunchback-type character (and a guy in a bear suit) on a "horror movie" set. And in the right rear corner of the set- there it was- this very prop Mummy case! ----- HONEY WEST, "TV's Private Eye-full" only lasted one season, but is well remembered. Honey was American TV's first self-employed, karate-chopping spy heroine, in an era of spy-friendly productions, brought about by the James Bond 007 films. I love Honey West!----BACK LOT CHARLIE COLLECTION
Above the Mummy case is pointed out in the episode. I am still searching for other productions this case was used in! -BLC
