Robin of Sherwood, Guy of Gisburne's Brigandine

This is the iconic armour of Guy of Gisburne, the Sheriff of Nottingham's right hand man. Portrayed through all three series by Robert Addie - known for his role in John Boorman's Excalibur, as Mordred.

You can see the armour being worn in numerous episodes through the three years of production. Notably, the series opener, The Sorcerer. Also, The Witch of Elsdon, The Seven Poor Knights From Acre, The Prophecy, The Time of the Wolf. It was also worn in a scene by Michael Praed.

The armour is exceptionally heavy, made of full length leather with aluminium panels bolted on. In all intents and purposes, a suit of armour.

In surprisingly good condition for a costume over 40 years old. It's unlikely the armour was made for the production.
