Star Trek III: The Search for Spock, hero communicator

This is a hero version of the communicator from Star Trek III: The Search for Spock. The communicator  kit is from roddenberry.com, but the electronics are improvised by using a modified toy soundboard.  The communicator has the screen accurate "chirp" when the grid is flipped open and makes contact with the two contact points on top of the communicator. There are green and red flashing lights when the communicator is opened. The person who made it for me also added an ID tag on the back of the communicator for added realism.  The kit and electronics were assembled by Ernie N of scifi-dragon.
