A cast-metal prototype of Xena’s chakram made by Icons Replicas during the trial process for creating the company’s official run of limited edition replicas of Xena’s chakram. There are a few details that help to identify it as a prototype:

• the gold hue of the paint (the official run was more orange in color)
• the black felt lining of the rock base (the official run was trimmed with grey felt to match the base)
• the more screen-accurate “jagged” pattern
• the inlay of green abalone shells (the official run used paua shells like the original prop)

Perhaps the most glaring difference is the weight. The official Icons chakram weighs around 12 ounces while this chakram weighs a staggering 1 pound and 10.3 ounces—more than double the weight of the official run. Instead of die-formed aluminum, this chakram was cast in very dense pot metal or white metal and finished with a layer of chrome plating to give it shine.
