Kept in my bag as an extra set if there was breakage, they were used by 2 stuntmen, the stand-in and Hugh Jackman.  When we were doing the scene in the forest. I had an unusual amount of breakage and I couldn't keep up with the repairs. So I bring the stunt set forward to be another hero set just so I can manage the breakage. What happened was there was a scene where Wolverine starts out at the bottom of a hill with has claws out. By the time he gets up to the top of the hill we have the SNIKT sound. The claws go in, but we don't see it, then when we see him they are gone. So what he did was he dropped them on the way up the hill and wouldn't you know what it fell on a rock and it broke. One of them broke the end off (which I still have the broken claw ) so now I'm down to my backup set. The next take.... it was a carbon copy of the first one. He dropped the claws and they hit something landed on the heel and broke the tang off again. So I don't have time to fix it. In order to swap out the claws I got to warm 'em up with heat gun because it's an interference fit. So I just had to keep digging in my bag and going deeper into my backup stuff to get the shot and you also have to appreciate we doing a lot of takes. You know that stuff in the forest we were doing ten takes so I was beside myself to keep up with it all. Anyway, that's how the stunt set got used. Still in the same screen used condition they were used in that scene.
