Scary Movie 2, Wilson Ball

This is a “Wilson” volleyball created for the production of the 2001 spoof Scary Movie 2. A very similar volleyball can be seen in deleted scenes of the film with Shorty (Marlon Wayans) when he gets high before being attacked by a giant marijuana plant; a version of the ball was also used for the movie poster/dvd cover. This particular ball is believed to have been a backup for the scene. The ball is made from a hollow Wilson Pro-Tour volleyball; the top has been cut open and long strands of straw, resembling hair, have been attached to the inside using foam. The ball has been heavily distressed to appear aged and features the famous “Wilson face” on the front from red paint.
