White Witch Army Orck Mask Display An ogre’s head mask worn in the production of the Disney children’s fantasy adventure film The Chronicles Of Narnia: The Lion, The Witch And The Wardrobe. Evacuated from London in the midst of the Second World War, the children of the Pevensie family discover a magical wardrobe that leads to the faraway land of Narnia. This creature head was worn by one of the many fantastical background performers, with this particular head belonging to a monstrous ogre within the army of Jadis the White Witch (Tilda Swinton), who fought against Aslan (Liam Neeson) at the film’s finale. Made of slush latex, the head is designed to be worn directly over the head of a performer, with holes in the mouth allow the performer to breath and see while on set. The head is beautifully finished, with paint details giving a deep tanned skin tone, rotting teeth, squinting, bloodshot eyes and shaved hair applied across the scalp and face. Fleece material is applied around the neck, which would have been blended into the body of the costume. In a very good production-used condition, the mask comes displayed on a custom-made display stand featuring an illuminated version of the film’s title artwork. The stand is battery powered and lights up when a push switch on the rear is activated. The display measures 55cm x 40cm x 30cm (22” x 15.75" x 11.5") tall.
