In third season episode Trials, something is causing people to forget everything they know, quickly regressing them to infant mentality. The trail leads to a young  man on trial for murder, whose lawyer is somehow causing retrograde amnesia in everyone he confronts about the case. 

This bifurcated artifact consists of Walter Winchell's monogrammed tie bar, worn by the lawyer, which extracts information from its target; and the equally important cufflinks, which put everything back in the target's mind once the information has been extracted and exposed.  Famed mid-twentieth century New York journalist Walter Winchell had a unique talent for uncovering embarrassing information about celebrities in all walks of life, garnering himself considerable influence.

Custom metal tie bar and cufflinks; original silver paint has picked up some marks and worn off somewhat.
