Married With Children, Verducci Fight Card Poster

original set dressing / pieces

He became Joey Tribbiani on Friends in 1994 but a few years before that, Matt LeBlanc was the not-so-great boxer Vinnie Verducci!! This is his original boxing fight card posterIts first appearance (that I know of) was on April 07, 1991 in the Married... with Children 100th episode. This 20th episode of season 5 is titled Top of the Heap and it was actually a backdoor pilot for a new spin-off series of the same name. This thing proudly hung on their living room wall and was featured in many scenes! Top of the Heap was canceled after an additional 7 episodes and revamped into a new show called Vinnie & Bobby. This poster was featured on that series as well but Vinnie & Bobby was also canceled after just 7 episodes. The Verducci apartment set was dismantled and this poster went into prop storage. Fast forward to February 24, 1997 Married... with Children season 11 episode 14 has Kelly Bundy in a boxing match. Guess what is seen inside the boxing gym? This bad boy goes full circle and ends up back on MWC almost 6 years later. Now here is the big question.... Was this thing just sitting inside Sony Prop storage for the past 26 years before being auctioned off? I am hoping/guessing that it was used elsewhere over the years. Please let me know if you ever spot it on screen in any movies and/or other TV shows! This fight card poster is glued to a thick wood backing and is quite heavy. Some stains on the poster screen match perfectly.
