Valkyrie, Valkyrie Iron Cross Medal With Case

This item is a Nazi uniform cross used in the 2008 Tom Cruise drama Valkyrie. Medals such as this, the Iron Cross, can be seen throughout the film worn by General Friedrich Olbricht (Bill Nighy) and several of his co-conspirators as they attempt to assassinate Hitler and bring down the Third Reich. The item is made of metal and has a silver cross backing, with a smaller black cross attached on each side; the front has a swastika in the center and the year 1939 on bottom, whereas the back of the medal has only the year 1813 on the bottom. The medal comes in a black box which opens at the press of a button. Inside the case is a separate ribbon containing black, white, and red striping. The case measures approximately 3” x 3” (8cm x 8cm) and, along with the medal, is in very good condition.
