A patch made for crew members of Irvin Kershner's Star Wars Episode V: The Empire Strikes Back. While filming in Finse, Norway, crew members wore heavy coats to fight the frigid temperatures of the location. These jackets featured various patches relating to the film's production including this 'Vader in Flames' design.
This unused patch features Darth Vader's helmet over a bed of flames. The image is placed over the film's instantly recognizable logo. Differing from patches reproduced for the Star Wars Fan Club, this patch has a thin white boarder in favor of a larger one -- a quality identifying it as an original crew piece.
