Original mid war helmet with post war liner. This helmet is seen on screen during the D-Day landing sequence. It is worn by the coxwain of the landing craft ( he had the line "Clear the ramp, 30 seconds.... God be with you") carrying Hanks etc. into the beach. Helmet and liner are marked U.S.SPR.
