Andromeda, Tyr's Directed Energy Carbine HERO

Directed Energy Weapon used by Tyr in Season 1 and Season 2. The carbine was first seen-in the Series opener "Under The Night" and last seen, being used by Beka, in the Season 4 episode "A Summetry Of Imperfection". In between those episodes this prop was subjected to a lot of hard use, repairs and modifications, including; replacing the shorter power clip with a longer version, extending the buttstock so as to add a larger internal battery, adding pump-action to the lower front grip and a change of shoulder slings. The lower barrel extension cap, seen in both screen shots, has sadly gone missing. This carbine, custom-made from resin, sheet styrene and metal, was created by Propology - Molnar Motion Picture Props, Inc in Vancouver, British Columbia. This HERO prop still retains most of it's original lighting effects. Unfortunately, the squib (smoke) effect no longer functions.
