Flight Of The Navigator, Trimaxion \"Morphing\" Miniature Ship

original movie prop

In 1978, a boy travels eight years into the future and has an adventure with an intelligent, wisecracking alien ship. From the 1986 adventure film Flight of the Navigator, this is the Trimaxion Drone Ship \"Morphing\" Filming Miniature. In the film, the AI-controlled ship would morph from its typical, shell-like appearance into different shapes depending on the maneuver or the environment it was in. This morphing process was accomplished by using replacement animation and this ship is one of the ships filmed during the morphing process. The miniature ship measures 11.5\" x 10.5\" x 5 and was obtained from the collection of Greg Jein.
