Star Trek: Nemesis, Tricorder

replica movie prop

Developed in the late 2370s, this tricorder design represents an abrupt change from the immediately preceding Mark IX/X, severely scaling down and inverting the flip-open door, while converting to a large touchscreen interface, resulting in a thinner device profile.  Both science and medical functions are fully supported by the unit.  Although sometimes referred to as the Mark XI, this tricorder design has no designation on its exterior, and is never given a specific make or model in the movie (or in the Star Trek Elite Force II video game, where it also appears.)

Resin replica, with flip-open scanner bar, rubberized grips, and Biomolecular Scan graphic transparency taken from a production-made lenticular panel.  No electronics.

Build and graphic by Buddahaid, from a kit by Thermalized Plastics.
