This clown costume was worn by Jay Silverheels, as Tonto, in the 1955 episode WANTED: THE LONE RANGER where the Lone Ranger and Tonto don clown costumes to sneak into an outlaw only stronghold. The costume was a favorite at Republic Studio having been worn in their last serial KING OF THE CARNIVAL and later BURKE'S LAW and two episdoes of THE WILD WILD WEST, listed under it's own heading here.
