This is a replica of the hourglass used by the Wicked Witch of the West in "The Wizard of Oz" (1939) to count down the moments that Dorothy Gale (played by Judy Garland) had left to live. This replica was made for me. Along with the hourglass is a replica of the Wicked Witch's mortar and pestle used to create the poppies spell that put Dorothy to sleep.
