original movie prop

The Phantom\'s (Gerard Butler) stunt sword and mask from Joel Schmacher\'s film adaptation of The Phantom of the Opera. The Phantom wore his mask and wielded his sword after gatecrashing the masquerade ball held at the Opera House, where he demanded that the managers stage his new opera Don Juan. The sword, made of resin with inner metal supports, resembles a rapier and features an ominous skull as a crossguard. The sword is cast in the scabbard painted black and silver and shows minor paint wear and exposed metal from the removal of two prongs from the crossguard. The mask, made of fibreglass and resin, features a similar skull design with protruding brow and cheekbones. Dimensions (sword): 114 cm x 16 cm x 12.5 cm (45\" x 6 1/4\" x 5\"); (mask): 17.5 cm x 16.5 cm x 10 cm (7\" x 6 1/2\" x 4\")
