Innerspace, Syringe and Blood Cells

original movie prop

A hapless store clerk must foil criminals to save the life of the man who, miniaturized in a secret experiment, was accidentally injected into him. From the 1987 film Innerspace, this is the hero hypodermic syringe and needle which served as the inciting incident for the Joe Dante directed Sci-Fi comedy. This main piece of the film is visible when Lt. Pendelton (Dennis Quaid) is miniaturized, placed in this syringe and accidentally injected into Jack Putter (Martin Short). Along with the syringe are five blood cells used in the miniature set to appear as if Lt. Pendelton is traveling through Jack’s blood stream.
