Friday the 13th, Swimming Dock Board Section

original set dressing / pieces

This is a 15 inch long section of the swimming dock from the blockbuster movie Friday the 13th (the original part one). Camp No-Be-Bo-Sco (or “No-Be” for short) is a thriving Boy Scout Camp tucked away in the hills of northwestern New Jersey.  The camp opened in 1927, making it the oldest continuously operating Scout camp in New Jersey. It was also the filming location of one of the most iconic horror movies of all time "Friday the 13th" in 1980. A major restoration project in 2009 resolved issues with the old and rotten wood from the lodges and swimming docks.  This section of dock board is cut from the second (and last) remaining swimming dock. It still has some of the white paint on it. It was signed by Tom Savini (well known for special makeup effects) and by Ari Lehman who played Jason in this first part of the franchise.
