Stargate SG-1, Stargate SG-1 G.D.O. Replica From Original Mold

Using the original studio mold I put together this replica of the G.D.O. with the goal of making it screen accurate to the original hero prop. Each part, down the the individual screws, were matched as cloase as possible to the original. Even the foam backing was cast from the original mold!
The prop is fully functional with interal electronics of the same type used in the original. When activated the prop hums to life with an electroluminescent backlight illuminating the keypad and screen. I have made several screen overlays which can be replaced to display various messages seen on the original prop.
One element not seen on these photos are the Velcro straps, which have since been added.
