Ultraviolet, Smoke Guns
original movie prop weapon
This is a smoke gun used by the bio-hazard containment forces. Seen in the first half of the movie being used to smoke a bloody corpse, presumably eliminating the spread of the disease.
Here's a screen shot of the guns in action. The actual prop has a pipe on it that connects to whatever would pump smoke through it. There's a large handgrip under the barrel that can be turned which opens a valve in the gun for the smoke.
