Star Trek: The Original Series, Season-1 Phaser-1 (Prototype)

I've decided to take a shot at building a few replicas of the TOS (1st season) Type-II Phaser - these are the ones with the white handles and all black bodies.  I've researched the on-screen props by reading the articles and viewing the pics of the original props on the RAC (R. Coyle) website.  To start the project I built a prototype of thePhaser-I that will be incorporated in the final P-II replicas. Just like the original props, my prototype uses simple printed paper stickers for the 'indicators' (the white squares where the clear domed power meter appeared on later versions of the P-1).  After building the protoype (seen here) I've decided to skip the 'raised sight' and build the P-Is for the project either as the version with a flat acrylic panel for the sight, or perhaps even the really early version with NO sight detail at all.  In any case, it's going to be a fun project, I'm sure.
