In fan favorite DS9 episode Trials And Tribble-ations, Sisko and the crew of the Defiant travel back in time to prevent the assassination of James T. Kirk aboard Station K-7, during the tribble troubles in 2268. In addition to amazing chroma key work blending the characters and locations of the two eras, original series sets and models were recreated in exacting detail.

This iconic science station sensor shroud was seen on the recreated NCC-1701 bridge, where Terry Farrell playing Jadzia Dax was trying to be as inconspicuous as possible. The scene was well played, although it's unlikely that Kirk wouldn't immediately introduce himself to a new gorgeous young yeoman who had appeared on his bridge.
