The identity disc, a fundamental piece of equipment for programs (and users) on the grid and normally worn on the upper back, records everything seen, heard, or otherwise experienced.  It also functions as a weapon, either as a close-quarters combat blade or thrown like a chakram, capable derezzing an opponent instantly with a direct hit. 

This is the licensed disc replica from Spin Master, upgraded to a total of 64 LEDs (16 inner ring, 48 outer ring), with an added microcontroller recreating the movie effect of sequential light activation around the circumference of the two rings.  It also incorporates a magnetic switch allowing for automatic change from Blade mode to Glow mode on attachment to a costume.
