Daniel's quest for his wife Sha're reached a tragic conclusion
when Teal'c was forced to kill Amaunet/ Sha’re to save
Daniel's life. When Daniel returns to Abydos
for the funeral of his wife, we view the body
of Sha’re wrapped in white linen similar to
that of the ancient mummification rituals of
Ancient Egypt. Clearly seen on screen, a large
ornate Scarab Beatle has been placed around the
mummified neck of Sha’re. Measuring approx
4" x 2 ½’ inches, the Beatle has been molded in a
resin type material, has been hand painted in gold,
turquoise, red and cobolt blue and has three heavy
link gold chains attached to one of upper utstretched
legs. Accompanying this very unique and very
significant prop, is a continuity photograph, complete
with studio notations, which clearly shows this necklace on the mummy
wrapped body used in scene 19 of the season 3 episode "Forever in a Day".
