Robocop 2, Robocop 2 Retail Action Figure used to cast Stop Motion Puppet

A Robocop (Peter Weller) action figure from Irvin Kershner’s futuristic sci-fi film Robocop 2. This retail action figure was used by production to cast molds for stop-motion puppets. Phil Tippett is credited as an Associate Producer and for animation sequences on this title.
Made of hollow urethane, the figure stands in a stoic pose holding his trademark automatic pistol. The piece has posable extremities. The arms can be removed at the shoulder and the legs detach at the knee. A sticker is adhered to the underside of the left foot which reads ‘Max Factory ’88 Made in Japan.’
The figure shows some wear due to age with some mild grime and scratches to the paint but the lot remains in overall good condition. Dimensions: 10 ½” x 5” x 4” (27 cm x 13 cm x 10 cm)
