Maximum Overdrive, Rhea M …es begann ohne Warnung! / Maximum Overdrive Production Photo Of Deleted Scene

original production material

This is a production photograph card of a deleted scene featuring characters: Steve, Deke, Handy, Duncan, Bill, and Curtis, as they are setting up their supplies with guns in-hand, waiting for Brett, Joe, Connie, Brad, Andy, and Max. Note: Duncan is the one in the blue jumpsuit beside Bill. He was supposed to be one of the survivors who make it to the island Haven. This only means that Hendershot, Frank, Harry, and Brad were to have survive as well. Joe, Rolf the 5th Patron, and Wanda June were supposed to be the only ones to die from the gun jeep. Max was to die in-place of Brad. Duncan was to reunite with his son Deke. Honestly, if Videoplayer and 2nd Woman (played by Giancarlo Esposito and Marla Maples respectively), were to have survived as well, and Connie dies throwing Molotov’s at the bulldozer, that would have been cool. Max stupidly wonders off and dies instead of Brad, and if they had the bigger budget and filmed the coast guard boat shooting at the Signora L. boat and both Curt and Steve save their friends since in this case both would have lost loved ones, and died from gunshot wounds after destroying the C.G. boat with the rocket launcher. Hendershot has a moment of redemption by tossing Bill a cigar and says: “Guess I’ve underestimated you, college-boy.” Then they reach the dock of the Haven island. Then all those changes would have been the icing on the cake. But alas. Anyways, I purchased this from a collector from Germany. This is a great piece of horror film history. I love this memorabilia piece and the movie Maximum Overdrive.
