The underclass race of the Romulan Empire, Remans were primarily used as miners, soldiers and bodyguards until a military coup gave their mysterious leader Shinzon control of the Romulan Senate. Picard and Data use one of these Reman carbine weapons to help effect their escape from Praetor Shinzon's warship Scimitar.  The rifle is seen in action again as a Reman boarding party vainly tries to recapture Picard during a raid on the Enterprise-E.

Illuminating hero rifle, of cast resin painted in mottled metallic blues and purples, with painted cast metal beveled double bayonet, steel-reinforced stock, and vinyl shoulder strap. A trio of bright white LEDs in the emitter tip are activated by trigger press, and the red targeting LED is toggled on and off by a separate switch at the back of the scope; both lighting effects are seen in use onscreen.
