Mighty Morphin' Power Rangers, Red Ranger's Tyrannosaurus Power Coin

original movie prop

“Go Go Power Rangers!” This is the Red Ranger's Tyrannosaurus Power Coin from the 1993 FOX television series Mighty Morphin Power Rangers. Power Coins were used in conjunction with Power Morphers, devices in the shape of belt buckles that the Rangers wore at all times in case Rita Repulsa, Lord Zedd, or the Putty Patrol ever attacked Angel Grove. By announcing “It’s morphin’ time!” and holding out their Power Morphers, the Power Rangers could call forth the powers of their designated prehistoric animals and morph into their color-coordinated suits. The Power Morphers and Power Coins seen on the show were not custom-made props but actually relabeled and gold-plated versions of the mass-manufactured toys sold by Bandai of Japan.
