This is a Replica of What i like to call the Re-Generation Crystal Which Can Be Seen in Superman 4:Quest for Peace about 3/4 of the way through the moive as after A worldwide battle between Luthor's creation and the Man of Steel. While successfully saving the Statue of Liberty, Superman is injured by the radioactive nails of Nuclear Man. Dying by radiation sickness, Clark staggers weakly to the terrace of his apartment, where he retrieves the last benevolent Kryptonian crystal and uses it to heal himself. and then he is Restored to His True Self and goes for one Final Battle between Nucular Man and Deal With Lex Luthor
