Found in original props used for movie Apocalypse Now – a little handcarved wooden bullhead and a walnut made of one piece, with an opening – maybe a dope container? These items were collected for the decoration of the US soldiers in the movie.
Gefunden in einem Konvolut mit Requisiten und Unterlagen für den Film Apocalypse Now von Francis Ford Coppola, der 1979 in die Kinos kam – zwei kleine Objekte, eines recht banal, das andere dafür sehr geheimnisvoll !
Zum einen ein kleiner Stier- oder Rinder-Kopf, aus Holz handgeschnitzt, ca. 2,7 x 3 cm groß – wohl als Schmuck-Requisit gedacht.
Zum anderen eine recht schwere Walnuss, die AUS EINEM STÜCK entweder aus sehr hartem Holz geschnitzt oder gar aus Keramik hergestellt wurde. Wir konnten das Material nicht bestimmen, da wir das Objekt nicht beschädigen wollten. Die Nuß ist ca. 3,2 x 3,5 cm groß und wiegt ca. 30 Gramm.
Das 'Geheimnisvolle' daran ist, daß sich eine kleine ovale Öffnung an der Nuss befindet und sie innen – anscheinend – etwas ausgehöhlt ist. Ob dieses Nuß-Objekt einfach ein kleines Kunstwerk oder etwa als Dope-Versteck für die US-Soldaten in Vietnam dienen sollte – wer weiß.
Die Objekte wurden vom Chef-Requisiteur des Films Douglas (Doug) E. Madison zur Ausstattung der US-Soldaten im Film gesammelt.
