Lost Horizon, Porter’s Cloak

Bob Lugo vintage movie costume worn in the classic 1937 Frank Capra film Lost Horizon from the famous Western Costume Company in Hollywood California. Western Costume has been making movie costumes for the film industry for over 100 years.  

This costume is over 83 years old, in very good condition with one small split to the material in the back of the costume and is marked a size 44.   The costume has stamps and the original label from Western Costume Company with production number and Bob Lugo's name.  It has been traced by the production number and it matches the numbers and year for the film Lost Horizon. Robert Lugo is a listed actor in the film credits as Porter. 

The costume came direct from western costume's wardrobe department and may have been used in any number of films after it was made for Lost Horizon. The name J. Noriega is pinned inside.  I have included a photo from Lost Horizon of the costumes worn in the film.
