A policeman’s codpiece from Luc Besson 1997 sci-fi The Fifth Element.
Codpieces could be seen on the uniforms of police officers in New York City. Made of fibreglass, the armour component is finished in a deep bronze paint to appear metal. Inside there is paint transfer and the remnants of tape with handwritten notes.
Displaying some wear from use and time spent in storage, the piece remains in overall very good production-used condition.
