Star Trek: The Next Generation, Picard Ressikan Flute

replica movie prop

One of his most prized possessions, Jean-Luc retained this instrument (and the ability to play it) after his encounter with an alien probe from a dead planet in fifth season episode The Inner Light. Under the probe's influence, Picard experienced an entire lifetime as a different person, including marriage, children, and grandchildren, in the space of only a few minutes of unresponsiveness on the bridge of the Enterprise. Seen again in one of my favorite TNG episodes, A Fistful Of Datas.

Playable metal replica, with accurate detailing. The original prop famously sold for $48,000 (against a pre-auction estimate of $1,200) at Christie's in October 2006.

Flute and presentation box by Sporak.
