This iconic "Ovu Mobani Mask" was screen-used in Episode 2 of Season 3 titled "DEAD MAN'S PARTY". In this episode, Buffy's mother, Joyce, imports a Nigerian mask for an art exhibition and hangs it up in their home. Unbeknownst to her, the mask contains the spirit of a Nigerian demon named "Ovu Mobani" with the power to cause the dead in Sunnydale to rise as zombies and race toward the mask, killing many people along the way. According to Giles, "Ovu Mobani" means "Evil Eye".
