The Man from U.N.C.L.E., Original Oil Painting

original set dressing / pieces

From the original hit TV show "The Man from U.N.C.L.E." (1964–1968), this is an original oil painting clearly seen in season three's "The Monks of St. Thomas Affair" in Robert Vaughn's room and best seen when he fights a couple of bad guys. Originally from the famous David Weisz Co. auction of MGM in 1970 and has been in storage ever since, until we recently identified it. Came with the original 1970 MGM auction tag and original David Weisz receipt. Painted by well-known regional portrait/landscape artist and poet "Thelma Hope" (1898-1991). From 1940 to 1947, she was a studio painter of background canvases for MGM studies so we are hoping to find this painting in more vintage MGM films.
