This is an original background painting on canvas of the planet Hoth used in the 1980 blockbuster science fiction sequel Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back. This beautiful hand painted background painting was created by artist Mike Pangrazio for the film, and can be seen behind the AT-AT’s during the Empire’s attack on the rebel base in the opening of the film.

Original canvas paintings like these are very rare to come by. This beautiful example has been mounted to a wooden frame on the back of the piece, and features the white and blue snowy caps of a mountainside of the planet Hoth.

This piece measures approximately 111” x 39” x 2” (281cm x 99cm x 5cm), features vibrant colors, no rips, tears or discoloring, and is in good screen used condition.
