Aliens, Original 'Facehugger' Prop

This is an original facehugger prop used in director, James Camerons' acclaimed 1986 sequel, ALIENS. This facehugger represents the first cycle of life of the terrifying xenomorph. It is constructed of an internal wire armature with an external thick latex/rubber 'skin'. Sections of the wire is now visible and the exterior is showing signs of deteriation along with paint distress.
I recently discovered that various facehuggers like this one were created this way for use in the Queen 'Egg Chamber' as background pieces.
