Transformers: The Movie, Optimus Prime

original production artwork

Ok, now heres a really cool cel from a famous scene in the movie. It takes place right after the Dinobots have attacked Devastator. This cel is from the scene where Optimus Prime says "Megatron must be stopped ... No matter the cost!" This cel was actually on screen for a few seconds. I felt it always stood out because It appears that Hound and Sunstreaker should have been moving because of their pose but they weren't. It always looked to me like they were frozen in mid-walk. The only thing in this scene that moved was Optimus Prime's face plate because he was saying the second part of that famous line I mentioned above. So naturally the face plate layer is absent from this cel which is really a shame. But it's still an awsome cel regardless of that small flaw. Another cool thing about this cel is that it goes along with the closeup cel of Optimus Prime I already have. In the closeup cel he says "Megatron must be stopped ..." and he finishes the "... No matter the cost!" line in this cel. It's pretty cool to actually have a cel of one of the Autobot shuttles to. It basically acts like a background to this cel unto it's self considering how much of the cel it takes up. Hound and Sunstreaker are two rare characters to see in any type of cel. Especially a movie cel. I much prefer getting Movie cels of the Original Transformers over the newer ones who were introduced for the first time in the movie. There was no background or sketches with this cel unfortuneatly. In a custom framing by CLS (Creative Laser Solution).
