Static hero aluminum and brass engineering tool used by Dr. Noonien Soong to mistakenly install an emotion chip into Lore instead of Data, in the episode Brothers.

Also: Used by Geordi La Forge to remove a large metal filing from the back of Data's detached head, left there by Picard 500 years in the past, in the first sixth season episode Time's Arrow part II; the tool referred to as a Magna-spanner by Ensign Picard's classmate Corey Zweller during a Q-induced flashback, in sixth season episode Tapestry; and again used by Geordi to transfer Data's dreams to the holodeck in seventh season Phantasms.
