A New York City cop (Michael Douglas) and his partner (Andy Garcia) must escort a murdering Japanese mobster to a jail in his homeland; he escapes, though, when they land on his turf. A Japanese detective (Ken Takakura) is assigned to help them recapture the prisoner, but friction between Eastern and Western approaches to law enforcement slows their progress. To make matters worse, a blonde expatriate (Kate Capshaw) keeps popping up uninvited.

This black leather jacket was worn on screen by Michael Douglas as "Nick". It can be seen through most of the movie when he and Charlie (Andy Garcia) are in Japan. It is a thigh length black leather jacket with a zippered pocket on the left chest. It has been distressed for filming purposes with scratches on the left back and sleeve along with a hole in the left elbow area. Handwritten on the inside below the collar are the numbers "150035".
