Peggy Sue Got Married, Nick Cage Screen Worn Shantung Jacket

original movie costume

Nicholas Cage's Dupioni jacket worn in two scenes of the film. The first in Peggy Sue's basement, when he wakes her in the middle of the night angry she was seen with another guy. Later, in the rain and greenhouse, in the last scene from the past. It was made by Nicky Sherlock of PZAZZ DESIGNS COSTUMES who employed Bill Belew and Gene Doucette while they were making Elvis' jumpsuits. The company was short lived and folded at the time PEGGY SUE was made. It has a gold lame lining and makeup stains on the collar and screen matches in many areas of the stitching being custom made. Oscar nomination for Theodora Van Runkle who said she was seeking "novelty fabrics" for the color pallette of the past.
