One Foot In Heaven, Miniature Coach Model

original set dressing / pieces

This miniature coach was created by Fred Jackman for special effect use in the 1936 film ANTHONY ADVERSE (1936), seen in the race through the Alps. Afterward, the FX department gave the model to the WB set decoration people, as the model has marks from both entities. Now seen here in this 1941 film, on the mantle in the opening sequence, coincidently also starring Fredric March. The film is the biography of William Spence as written by his son and was a Best Picture nominee for the year.
