No, these are not the ACTUAL tuppence that started the run, to be specific, on The Dawes, Tomes, Mousely, Grubbs Fidelity Fiduciary Bank, but they ARE actual coin of the realm dating back to 1910 and 1907. These British tuppence are similar to the props used in “Mary Poppins” (1964) handled by the characters Michael Banks (Matthew Garber), George Banks (David Tomlinson), and the elder Mr. Dawes (Dick Van Dyke) and mentioned in no less than three Sherman Brothers songs created especially for the movie.
