Employed by both the Goa'uld and the Tok'ra, the memory recall device is a small disc, placed on the temple, that stimulates, amplifies, and externally transmits the host's memories, as seen in use in multiple episodes including Out of Mind, Jolinar's Memories, The Devil You Know, and Evolution. In the device's first appearance in second season finale episode Out of Mind, Jack O'Neill submits to its use, and also to a sedative injector affixed to his left upper chest, in the hope of recovering his memory after having awoken from cryogenic suspension at Stargate Command 79 years in the future with no idea how or why he wound up in cold storage.

The memory recall device is a small solid resin antique bronze painted and jeweled disc, with adhesive backing. The sedation injector is a silver painted curved resin plate with faux circuitry backing, nonfunctional black foam control button, and connected clear tube, black tube, and thin wire.
