The first type of hypo seen in use by McCoy had a sliding sleeve injector, as recreated in this precision machined aluminum replica featuring a low-friction scratch-free Delrin liner between the sleeve and barrel, and magnetically latched drug vials. This hypodermic design was later supplanted by the Mark 2, which has the more familiar plunger-type injector.
