Firefly, Mal’s Pistol

This rubber stunt pistol was created for and used during the filming of the beloved series Firefly by Nathan Fillion in the role of Serenity captain, Malcolm Reynolds. This particular rubber stunt weapon has seen better days with heavy paint flaking and some degradation to the rubber in spots. Other than the original live fire weapons that were reconditioned for the Serenity movie and currently still owned by the armorer, this may be the only screen used Mal gun left from the production of the Firefly tv series. At least two stunt pistols from the Serenity movie have been sold at public auction but they are easily identified as being made for the later film as the pistol itself changed slightly in design moving from tv series to film, most notably with an alternate ammo clip.
